Music Ministry
Worship Choir – The Worship Choir rehearses every Wednesday evening at 7:45 pm in the Worship Center. This group of people represents a vibrant mix of adults from all walks of life. They are committed to giving their best in the interest of serving God through music. Guests are always welcome to join us for a great mid-week time of singing, praise, fellowship, and prayer. The Sanctuary Choir provides worship leadership for both of our morning services (9:00 am and 10:30 am) and occasionally for our evening service (6:00 pm) as well. Silvertones Choir – The Silvertones Choir rehearses each Monday morning at 11:00 am. Membership to this group is open to any individual 55 years and older. Our year is divided into two seasons, September - November and January - July. Our Choir has performed for Retirement Centers and Nursing Homes, as well as regularly leading the church in worship on the last Sunday of every month. The Choir also leads and provides music for our Annual Hanging of the Green service held on the first Sunday evening of December.

Youth Choir – It doesn't take great musical talent to join this team--just a heart for worship and a desire to glorify the King of Kings! The Student Choir rehearses each Sunday afternoon at 4:50 pm. This choir will also be leading and participating in our 6:00 PM worship time each week. The choir is open to all students, grades 7-12. No audition necessary--just come and visit us on Sunday! Soloist/Ensembles – Various soloists and ensembles are used regularly in our worship services. These individuals and groups are made up of members from our various choirs. Membership and regular participation in a choir is prerequisite to singing solos or being in one of these special groups.
Orchestra – The SCBC Orchestra is a volunteer group of musicians who perform for our morning worship services once per month. Requirements for membership are 3 years experience playing any given instrument. Rehearsal time: Sunday evenings, 7:15 pm Location: Worship Center. Worship Bells – The handbell choir of SCBC meets on Sunday afternoons at 4:45 pm. There are openings available at the present time. Individuals must have some sight-reading and musical experience to be a member of this group.
