John Childers - Pastor

John moved to St. Louis in 2005 because he and his family sensed God was calling them to be a part of a unique spiritual community called South County Baptist Church. His passion is to honor God by developing a church full of missionaries - the greatness of a church is seen not in its seating capacity, but in its sending capacity! John and his wife Jeannie have two daughters, Amy and Jennifer. He graduated from The University of Georgia (Journalism), Southwestern Baptist Theological (M. Div.) and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (D. Min.).

Chris Bailey - Minister of Worship

South County is pleased to welcome Chris Bailey to our ministry staff. Chris comes to South County with more than 20 years of experience leading churches in a variety of worship styles. He will lead in the development of a music and worship ministry which produces worshippers of all ages. He graduated from Samford University and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Chris and his wife Brenda have two children: Rachel and Cameron.

Troy Allison - Pastor to Students
Troy and his wife Michelle have come to St. Louis with a strong record of experience and longevity building a comprehensive youth ministry in Virginia. Their focus is on 'going wide' (reaching many young people and their families) as well as 'growing deep' (instilling a love for learning and living God's Word). They seek to connect with young people where they are spiritually and challenge them to grow from there.
Troy and Michelle have a young son named Luke. In addition to leading our youth ministry, Troy oversees the ministry to children, college students and families.

Ken Hill - Minister of Education and Administration

Ken has served as our Minister of Education and Administration since May, 2001. Raised in Talladega, AL, Ken married Sandy in 1973. They have two grown daughters, Christy and Katie. Ken earned a BA from Auburn University and an MBA from SIU Edwardsville. Before joining the SCBC staff, Ken was a project manager for Southwestern Bell for 30 years.

Cindy DeNoyer - Financial Administrator

Cindy serves as our Financial Administrator. She considers herself blessed to serve Christ by using her gifts and expertise in financial management through the church.

April Brooks - Ministry Assistant

April brings an enthusiastic and helpful spirit to the South County office. She handles most of our mailings, reminders, and the master calendar for the church. If you need to schedule an event such as a wedding, or activity at SCBC, April will be your first point of contact.
