Nov 18-25 is shoe box collection week!

South County Baptist Church is serving as a drop-off point for Operation Christmas Child®, a project of Samaritan's Purse®. Gifts are distributed in the name of Jesus Christ to children worldwide, many of whom have never received a gift before. The Gospel message is shared and lives are changed! How can I get involved?

  • Pray for children who will receive the gifts and their families too
  • Pack a box (or two) and drop them off
  • Spread the word
  • Volunteer
  • Donate (select "OCC")

In addition to hearing the Gospel before they receive their shoebox gift, children also receive The Greatest Gift, a storybook that shares the message of salvation. Children take this home to share with family and friends. After boys and girls hear the Good News, they receive a surprise that may be their first gift ever and they hold in their hands a tangible expression of God’s love.

  • More than 75,000 of these events take place every year
  • More than 14.9 million children have enrolled in the discipleship program since 2009
  • More than 6.9 million children have reported decisions for Christ Since 2009
  • These children share their faith with friends and family—who in turn disciple others.
