The SCBC Youth Ministry’s goals are very clear, and they come directly from Scripture. Like Paul, “The goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.” (1 Tim. 1:5) As we strive toward these goals, we fix our gaze on Christ and His recorded Word.
From God’s Word, we focus on closely partnering with parents to teach the students the overall storyline of the Bible, essential Christian doctrine, how to evangelize and defend the faith, to think with a biblical worldview, how to live as male or female made in God’s image, and much more. We do frequent service projects and other fun group activities to love our neighbors and love each other. Everything we do circles around 1 Timothy 1:5.
In 1 Timothy 1:19, Paul tells us that by rejecting the goals laid out in verse 5, some have suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith. We want students to sail firmly in their faith, growing to be more like Jesus each day. Join us as we work toward these God-given goals.

Kids
GROWTH THROUGH
DISCIPLESHIP
SCBC Kids is for children in grades K-5. We work to continue to build upon the foundation started during preschool. We do this by teaching our kids about the character of God and the examples of His grace through the pages of Scripture. Our hope is to partner with parents in the discipleship of their children by creating an environment that promotes an opportunity of growth and understanding.
Kids participate in large group worship and teaching, as well as age-divided small groups where they can learn more about the lesson, ask questions, and build relationships with their peers and group leaders. These five years are all about transition and growing and we want to foster that through our various ministry activities. This summer, we will be offering Winshape, a week long day camp experience in partnership with Chick-fil-A. We also offer other outings and special activities throughout the year.

Trail Life USA is a Church-Based, Christ-Centered, Boy-Focused mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy. Established on timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure, boys from Kindergarten through 12th grade are engaged in a Troop setting by male mentors where they are challenged to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, and develop practical leadership skills to carry out the mission for which they were created.

SCBC kids are committed to "hiding God's Word in their hearts" every week with AWANA Kids Club. Children learn about the Bible through activities, games, large and small group adventures, and missions opportunities, all while making friends and having fun! AWANA meets every Wednesday night during the school year from 6:15 to 7:45 pm.

Christian Archers of Missouri (CAMO) was founded at South County Baptist Church in 2006 as a premier Christ-centered Archery ministry to all ages. Led by world class archer Dick Wood and a team of experienced instructors, CAMO combines the lifelong sport of archery with the life-changing message of Christ in a fun, free, experience. CAMO meets in our climate-controlled gym during the spring and summer months.

LAYING
FOUNDATIONS
Through partnership with parents, we strive to create the first building blocks of a strong, gospel-centered, Bible-driven foundation for children. Preschoolers love to learn and play, which is why each classroom provides interactive learning experiences in a colorful and engaging atmosphere. We teach kids about God in a way that they can understand. Preschool classes coincide with all of our regular weekend and mid-week adult services.
